FACIAL REFLEXOLOGY IN HELSTON, CORNWALL

Supporting your body's natural ability to function at its best, while helping your skin look brighter, healthier and more radiant.

A treatment that supports both your wellbeing and your skin.

When life feels busy, stressful or overwhelming, it's often written all over our faces. We carry tension in our jaw, forehead and shoulders, our minds struggle to switch off, and our skin can begin to reflect how we're feeling on the inside.

Facial Reflexology offers the opportunity to pause, slow down and reconnect with yourself. Working on specific reflex points across the face, each treatment is designed to calm a busy mind, ease facial tension and support your body's natural balance, while leaving your skin looking naturally refreshed.

Using certified organic skincare, warm towels and a treatment tailored entirely to you, many women tell me they leave feeling lighter, more rested and more like themselves again. Alongside the deep sense of relaxation, they often notice their skin looks brighter, healthier and naturally revitalised too.

Whether you're looking to support your wellbeing, release facial tension, navigate hormonal changes or simply take some time for yourself, Facial Reflexology offers a beautifully restorative experience for both body and mind.

What is Facial Reflexology?

Facial Reflexology works on specific reflex points across the face, each corresponding with different areas and systems of the body.

By applying light, precise pressure to these reflex points, facial reflexology encourages deep relaxation while supporting your body's natural ability to restore balance.

The face also holds a surprising amount of tension. Stress, repetitive facial expressions and even our emotions can become stored in the muscles of the forehead, jaw, around the eyes and across the face.

As these areas begin to relax, many women notice their face feels softer and less tense. Tight muscles can release, expression lines may appear softer, and there's often a sense of emotional release too, leaving both the body and mind feeling lighter.

How Facial Reflexology Supports Both Your Body and Your Face

This treatment works on two levels at the same time - supporting your overall wellbeing while naturally refreshing your skin.

Supporting your body and mind

  • Helping calm the nervous system and move your body out of stress mode
  • Supporting your body's natural balance, including during hormonal changes
  • Helping release emotional and physical tension often held in the face
  • Encouraging your body to function at its optimal level
  • Creating a greater sense of calm, relaxation and emotional balance

Supporting your skin

  • Softening the appearance of lines, particularly around the eyes and brow
  • Easing tightness in the face and jaw
  • Improving circulation for healthier-looking skin
  • Leaving your complexion looking brighter and more refreshed

As tension begins to melt away in the face, many women notice the rest of their body starts to soften and relax too.

What Does Facial Reflexology Feel Like?

Facial Reflexology is one of those treatments that many women don't realise they need until they experience it.

Using certified organic skincare, the treatment begins with a soothing facial massage that not only cleanses your skin but also encourages your whole body to begin slowing down. It's often at this point that your breathing becomes a little deeper, your shoulders soften and the outside world starts to fade away.

Warm, damp towels are used during the treatment to gently remove the organic skincare products. I always leave them resting gently over your face for a few moments, waiting for that lovely deeper breath before lifting them away. It's often at that point I know you've relaxed a little more and settled even deeper into the treatment. When the towels are removed, they leave your skin feeling beautifully fresh and surprisingly cool – something that's especially welcome if you're experiencing hot flushes or feeling warmer during perimenopause or menopause.

The facial reflexology itself is incredibly gentle. As I work the reflex points across your face, you may notice your mind becoming quieter and your body relaxing more deeply. You might drift into that lovely space between being awake and asleep, or you may simply enjoy an hour where you can completely switch off.

At different points during the treatment, I may also use cooling crystal mushrooms. They're beautifully cooling and soothing on the skin, encouraging you to relax even more deeply while leaving your face feeling wonderfully fresh and refreshed. They're especially lovely if you're feeling warmer or experiencing hot flushes during perimenopause or menopause.

Afterwards, many women tell me they leave feeling deeply relaxed, with softer facial muscles, a quieter mind and skin that looks brighter, healthier and naturally refreshed.

Who This Is For

Facial Reflexology may be just what you're looking for if you:

  • feel stressed, overwhelmed or find it difficult to switch off
  • carry tension in your jaw, forehead, neck or around your eyes
  • want natural support during hormonal changes
  • are navigating perimenopause or menopause
  • would like to support your nervous system and overall wellbeing
  • want your skin to look healthier and more refreshed naturally
  • simply long for an hour that's dedicated entirely to you

Or perhaps you've reached the point where you're tired of putting yourself at the bottom of the list and know it's time to slow down for a while. Facial Reflexology offers the opportunity to support both your wellbeing and your skin in one beautifully restorative treatment.

Treatment Details

Every Facial Reflexology treatment is tailored to you and how you're feeling on the day. Available as either a 30 or 60-minute treatment, each session uses certified organic Inlight skincare to create a deeply relaxing experience that's as nurturing for your skin as it is for your wellbeing.

Your treatment begins with gentle relaxation techniques across the upper arms, shoulders, neck and head, helping your body begin to slow down. A soothing lavender scalp massage encourages you to unwind before your skin is cleansed using beautiful organic products and a relaxing facial massage.

Warm, damp towels are then used to gently remove the cleanser before nourishing facial oil is applied, allowing me to begin the facial reflexology treatment. Depending on your individual needs, I may also weave cooling crystal mushrooms into the treatment to enhance relaxation and provide a wonderfully cooling sensation.

As your treatment comes to a close, warm towels gently remove the facial oil, followed by another soothing massage to the shoulders, neck and scalp. I finish with a calming reflex point to help settle the nervous system before gently grounding you through your feet, leaving you feeling relaxed, refreshed and ready to ease back into your day.

Facial Reflexology can also be combined with other treatments, including Foot Reflexology, Holistic Facial or Facial Cupping, if you'd like a longer or more personalised experience.

Because every treatment is tailored to how you're feeling on the day, no two sessions are ever exactly the same. If you'd like to extend your time in the clinic, Facial Reflexology can also be combined with Foot Reflexology, Holistic Facial or Facial Cupping to create a more personalised treatment experience.

WHAT CLIENTS ARE SAYING

Frequently Asked Questions

Do I need to remove my clothing?

No, you'll remain fully clothed throughout your treatment.

If you're having Facial Reflexology on its own, there's no need to remove anything. If you're combining it with Foot Reflexology, I'll simply ask you to remove your shoes and socks.

Do I need to remove my make-up?

No, not at all.

Your treatment begins with a gentle cleanse using beautiful organic skincare, so there's no need to arrive make-up free. It's all part of the experience and gives your skin a lovely fresh start before we begin.

Can Facial Reflexology help with perimenopause and menopause?

Yes, this is one of the reasons many women come to see me.

I tailor my Facial Reflexology treatments specifically for women navigating perimenopause and beyond. As part of the treatment, I use cooling crystal mushrooms over reflex points that relate to the body's temperature regulation, alongside specialist reflexology protocols I've trained in for hormonal health.

I also have the same protocols for Foot Reflexology, so when the two treatments are combined, we can reinforce the same reflex points on both the face and feet, creating a wonderfully balancing treatment.

Over the years, I've supported many women in their 40s and 50s through hormonal changes, and many tell me they leave feeling calmer, more balanced and better able to cope with the ups and downs that can come with this stage of life.

Will Facial Reflexology improve my skin?

Yes, many clients notice their skin looks fresher, brighter and more radiant after treatment.

Your appointment includes a gentle cleanse, warm towels and organic skincare, helping your skin feel beautifully refreshed. The reflexology techniques also encourage healthy circulation and help release tension that's often held in the face, jaw and forehead.

It's a wonderfully rejuvenating treatment, not only for your skin but for your mind and body too.

What happens at my first appointment?

In many cases, yes.

Facial Reflexology can often be adapted to suit your individual needs. However, some medical conditions or recent facial procedures may mean treatment needs to be postponed or adapted.

If you're unsure whether Facial Reflexology is suitable for you, just get in touch before booking and I'll be happy to advise.

How often should I have Facial Reflexology?

That really depends on what you're hoping to achieve.

If you're booking for relaxation and wellbeing, many clients enjoy a treatment every four to six weeks.

If you're looking to support hormonal changes, reduce stress or achieve more noticeable skin rejuvenation, I often recommend a course of weekly treatments to begin with. After that, we can move on to maintenance treatments that fit around your lifestyle and goals.

Can Facial Reflexology be combined with other treatments?

Absolutely.

Facial Reflexology combines beautifully with Foot Reflexology and is one of my most popular combinations. Using similar reflexology protocols on both the face and feet creates a deeply relaxing and wonderfully balancing treatment.

It also works really well alongside Facial Cupping, Holistic Facials and Indian Head Massage if you're looking for an even more restorative experience.

If you're not sure which combination would suit you best, just ask and I'll happily guide you.

Is Facial Reflexology suitable if I have Botox or dermal fillers?

Yes, but you'll need to wait at least three weeks after having Botox or dermal fillers before having Facial Reflexology.

If you've had either treatment recently, please let me know at your appointment so I can ensure it's safe and appropriate to go ahead.

When is Facial Reflexology not suitable?

Facial Reflexology is suitable for most people, but there are a few occasions when treatment may need to be postponed.

This includes:

  • During the first three weeks after Botox or dermal fillers.
  • If you have an active cold sore.
  • Cuts, open wounds or broken skin on the face.
  • Certain skin infections or contagious conditions.
  • Following some facial procedures until the area has fully healed.

If you're ever unsure, just get in touch before booking. I'll be happy to advise.

I'm not sure whether to choose Foot or Facial Reflexology.

That's completely normal!

Both treatments are deeply relaxing and support your wellbeing, but they each offer something a little different.

If you're looking for deep grounding and relaxation, Foot Reflexology is a wonderful choice. If you tend to hold tension in your face, jaw, neck or shoulders, or you'd love the added benefit of naturally refreshed, rejuvenated-looking skin, Facial Reflexology could be perfect for you.

And if you really can't decide... you don't have to! Combining Foot and Facial Reflexology is one of my favourite treatments to give, and many clients tell me it's the ultimate way to relax, reset and support their wellbeing.

How might I feel afterwards?

Everybody responds to Facial Reflexology a little differently, and there's no right or wrong way to feel afterwards.

Most women leave feeling deeply relaxed, with a quieter mind, softer facial muscles and a wonderful sense of calm. Many also notice their skin looks brighter, fresher and more rested, often with a more defined, healthy-looking complexion.

Occasionally, you may feel a little sleepy, tired, emotional, achy or even slightly flu-like for a short while after your treatment. This is usually temporary and simply your body's way of responding to the treatment.

Some people may also experience a mild headache, particularly if they don't drink enough water afterwards. That's why I'll always encourage you to drink plenty of water and, if you can, take things a little easier for the rest of the day.

The most important thing is simply to listen to your body. Whether it's asking for an early night, plenty of water or some quiet time, try to give it what it needs so your body can make the most of the treatment.

Most women simply leave feeling relaxed, refreshed and more like themselves again, but whatever you experience, it's usually short-lived and settles quickly.
