FACIAL CUPPING IN HELSTON, CORNWALL

Naturally lift, sculpt and rejuvenate your skin while easing facial tension and supporting your overall wellbeing.

Facial Cupping - Helston, Cornwall

If you've noticed your face looking more tired than it used to, you're waking with puffiness, carrying tension in your jaw or forehead, or simply feel your skin has lost some of its natural vitality, Facial Cupping can be a wonderfully restorative treatment.

It's one of my favourite treatments because it doesn't just support how your skin looks, it often changes how you feel too.

Some women come because they'd like a more defined jawline, smoother-looking skin or a fresher, brighter complexion. Others are looking for relief from jaw tension, headaches, sinus congestion or teeth clenching.

What many don't expect is just how deeply relaxing the treatment feels. It's not uncommon for women to tell me afterwards that they hadn't realised quite how much tension they'd been carrying until it was gone.

Whether you're looking to support healthy ageing, ease built-up facial tension or simply take some time to yourself, every treatment is tailored to how you're feeling on the day.

What Is Facial Cupping?

Facial Cupping uses soft silicone cups that gently glide across your face, neck and upper chest using nourishing organic facial oils.

Unlike body cupping, the cups never stay in one place. Instead, they move continuously across the skin using gentle lifting techniques.

As the cups glide over the face they help stimulate circulation, encourage lymphatic drainage and release built-up tension within the muscles and connective tissues. They also pass over facial reflex points, meaning the treatment supports not only your skin, but your overall wellbeing too.

My Results After Three Treatments

During my Facial Cupping training, I completed a course of treatments on myself, documenting the changes with photographs along the way.

The photographs alongside show my results before beginning treatment and after three weekly Facial Cupping sessions.

Comparing the before and after photographs, I noticed my face appeared less puffy, my complexion looked brighter, and the area around my eyes appeared lighter and more refreshed. I could also see improvements in my skin tone, with my face looking healthier and more revitalised.

My jawline appeared more defined, some of my fine lines looked softer, and my face had a naturally lifted appearance.

Whilst everybody's skin, facial structure and goals are different, these photographs show how the benefits of Facial Cupping can build over a course of treatments. That's why I often recommend a series of sessions to achieve the most noticeable and longer-lasting results.

More Than A Beauty Treatment

Many women first book Facial Cupping because they'd like to support healthy ageing naturally, reduce puffiness or simply give their skin a fresher, more rested appearance.

What often surprises them is how differently they feel afterwards.

We carry far more tension in our faces than we usually realise. Everyday stress, concentrating, clenching our jaw, frowning and simply keeping everything going can all leave the muscles of the face feeling tight and overworked.

As the cups gently glide across your face, they help soften that built-up tension while also passing over the facial reflex points. This means the treatment isn't just supporting your skin from the outside, it's encouraging your whole body to slow down and supporting your wellbeing from within too.

It's why I see Facial Cupping as so much more than a beauty treatment. It's an opportunity to pause, switch off for a while and give yourself permission to rest. Many women tell me they leave not only noticing a fresher, more lifted appearance, but feeling calmer, more relaxed and surprised by just how much tension they had been holding.

What It Feels Like

Facial cupping is a wonderfully relaxing treatment. Warm, damp towels are gently placed over your face (with plenty of room to breathe), helping you to unwind and let go.

The cups glide gently across your skin, softly lifting the facial tissues as they move. It's a gentle sensation that many clients find surprisingly relaxing, helping to release tension held in the jaw, forehead, around the eyes and through the neck.

To finish, cooling crystal mushrooms are gently massaged over your face, leaving your skin feeling refreshed while helping to soothe and calm the skin.

Who's It For

Facial cupping is suitable for anyone looking to relax, release tension and naturally support the health of their skin.

It may be especially beneficial if you hold tension in your jaw, grind your teeth, experience neck ache, headaches, migraines or sinus congestion, or simply want to soften the appearance of fine lines and leave your skin looking brighter and more rejuvenated.

It's also a lovely choice if you're looking for a natural alternative to more invasive aesthetic treatments, such as Botox or fillers, and prefer to support your skin's health from within.

What Happens During A Facial Cupping Treatment?

Every Facial Cupping treatment is personalised to you. Before we begin, we'll talk about how you've been feeling and whether there's anything you'd like me to focus on, whether that's jaw tension, headaches, facial tightness, sinus congestion, healthy ageing or simply giving yourself time to completely relax.

Your treatment begins with a calming massage to your upper arms, shoulders, neck and scalp using a beautifully blended lavender oil to help you unwind.

Your skin is then gently cleansed with certified organic skincare before warm, damp towels leave your skin feeling fresh and ready for treatment.

A nourishing facial oil is applied before the soft silicone cups glide across your upper chest, neck, jawline, cheeks, forehead and around the eyes using gentle lifting techniques that encourage circulation, lymphatic drainage and deep relaxation.

Where appropriate, I may also incorporate facial reflexology points or adapt the treatment to suit your individual needs.

Cooling crystal mushrooms are then gently massaged across your face to soothe and refresh the skin before a final warm towel removes any remaining oil.

To finish, you'll enjoy a relaxing scalp massage, along with calming facial reflexology points and gentle grounding, leaving you feeling refreshed, deeply relaxed and ready to ease back into your day.

WHAT CLIENTS ARE SAYING

Frequently Asked Questions

Do I need to remove any clothing?

Yes, but only your top. I'll ask you to remove your clothing down to your bra, and you'll be covered with towels throughout the treatment so you always feel warm, comfortable and relaxed.

This allows me to work not only on your face, but also your upper chest, neck and shoulders, helping to release tension and enhance the overall benefits of the treatment.

Is Facial Cupping painful?

No. Facial Cupping should feel comfortable and relaxing. The cups use gentle suction and glide across the skin using facial oils. Most clients find the treatment deeply relaxing.

Will Facial Cupping leave marks on my face?

Facial Cupping uses much lighter suction than traditional body cupping and should not leave the circular marks commonly associated with body cupping treatments.

Some clients may experience temporary redness immediately after treatment due to increased circulation, particularly if their skin is sensitive. Very occasionally, slight bruising may occur, although this is uncommon and every effort is made to minimise the risk.

How many treatments will I need?

Many clients enjoy Facial Cupping as a one-off treatment. However, if your goal is to support healthy ageing, facial contouring or specific concerns such as tension, headaches or sinus congestion, a course of treatments often provides the best results.

Can Facial Cupping help with jaw tension and teeth clenching?

Many clients choose Facial Cupping for support with jaw tightness, teeth clenching and facial tension. The treatment works on the muscles and connective tissues of the face, jaw and surrounding areas to encourage relaxation and ease tension.

Can Facial Cupping help with emotional wellbeing?

Many women are surprised by how relaxing Facial Cupping feels. Stress, worry and tension can often show up in the face, jaw, forehead and shoulders. As these tissues begin to soften and relax, clients frequently report feeling calmer, lighter and more at ease both physically and emotionally.

Can Facial Cupping help with headaches and sinus congestion?

Facial Cupping may help relieve facial tension, support sinus drainage and encourage lymphatic flow. Additional techniques can be incorporated into your treatment if these are areas you would like me to focus on.

Is Facial Cupping suitable during perimenopause and menopause?

Yes. Many women choose Facial Cupping during perimenopause and menopause when hormonal changes, stress and disrupted sleep begin to affect both their skin and overall wellbeing.

Can Facial Cupping be combined with other treatments?

Absolutely. Facial Cupping can be added to Facial Reflexology, Holistic Facials and Zone Face Lift treatments for additional sculpting, lymphatic drainage and facial wellbeing support.

Who is Facial Cupping not suitable for?

Facial Cupping may not be suitable for everyone and, in some situations, treatment may need to be adapted or postponed.

Please let me know when booking if you have any of the following:

  • Active eczema, psoriasis, rosacea, acne, cold sores or other skin conditions affecting the face
  • Recent facial surgery, scarring, Botox or fillers
  • Sunburn, burns, open wounds or skin infections
  • Very sensitive skin
  • Unexplained lumps or swelling around the face, neck or shoulders
  • Pregnancy
  • Diabetes with reduced skin sensation
  • Whiplash, arthritis or neck problems that may affect your comfort during treatment

Facial Cupping is not suitable for active skin cancer or melanoma.

If you're unsure whether Facial Cupping is right for you, please get in touch before booking. A full consultation will always be carried out before treatment to ensure it is safe and appropriate for your individual needs.

How will I feel after a Facial Cupping treatment?

Most clients leave feeling deeply relaxed, lighter and calmer than when they arrived.

Many women notice their face feels refreshed, less puffy and more energised, while others report reduced tension around the jaw, face, neck and shoulders.

You may also feel a greater sense of emotional and physical ease as the body continues to relax following treatment. Any temporary redness from increased circulation usually settles quickly.
